Data is fast becoming the new gold of the digital age. More is produced and consumed every year, and its importance in the modern world continues to grow exponentially. This trend brings great benefits to organisations that wish to harness the power of data, but also new risks. The Error Checking service exists to ensure that any data you handle has been rigorously verified with state-of-the-art analytics.
The Service exists to minimise the risk of using faulty data, which could have serious consequences. Manually checking a large dataset for errors is not realistic, and simple “outlier analysis” will only catch a few. By using the Error Checking service, you can home in on the specific records within a large dataset that are most likely to contain errors. This enables you to focus valuable time on investigating these as a priority.
Data security goes hand-in-hand with data privacy. The Service comes with an option to “mask” data before sending it for analysis. The error-checking process then runs as normal, and the results are sent back for you to un-mask. This gives all the benefits of the Service, without ever releasing sensitive data to a third party.
The table above shows some data on local government spending. At a glance, you can see where entries are higher or lower than expected, and by how much. The Error Checking process summarises these ‘deviations’ in a separate section, and presents them in an intuitive reporting framework. To get you started working smarter and more effectively with data, we have developed the “Analyst Toolkit”. This document contains a broad array of custom Excel functions, each of which serves to complete a common analytical task quickly and efficiently. Each of the functions is explained with real examples, and they require no additional training to use, beyond a basic understanding of Excel. These have been developed by us to save you time when working with data, and to extract insights more easily.
Pricing: The process analyses one data table at a time, and the pricing is set up to reflect this. Each data table incurs a flat fee of £25, plus £4 per 100 rows and £4 for each column. For example, if a dataset has 4,000 rows and 18 columns, the price will be £257.
Billing: Simply pay for what you use: there is no minimum monthly order or subscription fee. Use the service whenever you need it, and pause or cancel at any time.

Our standard rate is £600 per day or £75 per hour.
